At Dr Mélanin, we also embrace cutting-edge technologies in regenerative skin medicine to elevate your skincare experience. Explore our list of treatments below.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a powerful tool for improving skin quality if administered by trained medicals professionals. They work by causing controlled exfoliation and peeling, removing the damaged outer layers of skin and stimulating production of new skin cells and collagen. At Dr Mélanin, our chemical peels are tailored to each patient’s unique skin concerns, addressing issues such as fine lines, sun damage, uneven skin tone, scarring and textural irregularities.

Microneedling

Microneedling involves using a device with fine needles to create micro-injuries in the skin’s surface at specific depths. This controlled trauma stimulates the natural healing process, triggering collagen and elastin production. At Dr Mélanin, our expert-led microneedling sessions effectively address concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars. As the skin repairs itself, you may notice your skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more even in texture.

Profhilo

Profhilo is a cutting-edge injectable treatment that is designed to rejuvenates the skin from within. Composed of hyaluronic acid, it acts as a bio-remodelling agent, stimulating collagen and elastin production. Administered in strategic points on the face, Profhilo hydrates deeply and restores elasticity. Unlike traditional fillers, it spreads evenly beneath the skin, creating a natural, lifted effect. At Dr Mélanin, Profhilo treatments can be used to address skin laxity, fine lines, dryness and dullness. You may notice an improvement in your fine lines, wrinkles and your general complexion.

Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are injectable skin treatments designed to deeply hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. At Dr Mélanin, our skin boosters work by delivering a potent blend of hydrating substances like hyaluronic acid and nucleotides directly into the skin’s layers. This promotes hydration, stimulates collagen production, and enhances skin elasticity. The result is improved skin texture, reduced fine lines, and an improved complexion.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment that involves injecting a customised cocktail of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into the skin. This targeted approach stimulates collagen and elastin production, promoting skin rejuvenation. Mesotherapy can address various skin concerns, including fine lines, sagging, and dehydration. The micro-injections enhance circulation and nutrient delivery to the treated area, resulting in improved skin tone, texture, and hydration.

Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides (PN) in skincare are innovative molecules derived from DNA, known for their potent regenerative properties. At Dr Mélanin, polynucleotide treatments involve injecting these molecules throughout the skin, stimulating cell repair and collagen synthesis. This process enhances skin elasticity, reduces wrinkles, and improves overall texture. The ability of polynucleotides to accelerate tissue healing and boost hydration makes it an effective solution for rejuvenating tired or damaged skin.

Medical Grade Skincare

Medical-grade skincare goes beyond typical over-the-counter products, offering formulations with higher concentrations of clinically proven active ingredients. At Dr Mélanin, our curated medical-grade skincare regimens are designed to address specific skin concerns. We currently stock Obagi, Alumier and NeoStrata. Our tailored approach provides patients with access to professional-grade solutions for their skin concerns, optimising the potential for achieving lasting and visible skin improvements alongside other treatments we offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out to us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The type of treatment depends on the underlying cause of your skin concerns. Not all treatments are appropriate for all skin tones, so Dr Vasudevan will conduct an in-depth consultation to determine how to effectively treat your skin condition and provide you with a bespoke treatment plan for your skin tone. You will need to be assessed in person, please book a consultation with Dr Vasudevan for your treatment plan.

The normal skin cycle (i.e. the time it takes for old skin cells to be replaced by new skin cells) is between 4 and 6 weeks. The older we get, the longer it takes for skin cells to be replaced. Most treatments require at least 2 skin cycles to show any visible improvement, which is usually around 2 to 3 sessions.

Please contact us via email to receive our pricing list. We require all our patients to  book a consultation with our doctors prior to starting any treatments. We carefully prepare bespoke plans for all our patients and some treatments may be unsuitable for some patients.

We do everything we can to help reduce pain and discomfort during the treatment. We can use a numbing cream before the procedure to help make the procedure more comfortable for you; however, most of our clients do not usually require this. The needles we use are very fine and most patients experience minimal discomfort during and after the procedure.

Like any procedure, there are possible risks which will be discussed with you in detail during your consultation as these vary between treatments. The side effects for injectable skin treatments are usually mild and most commonly, bruising, redness, or swelling which usually settle within a few days. Rarely, you may experience some lumps under the skin but these usually can be massaged out and settle after a few days. Some treatments such as peels or medical grade skincare may cause your skin to feel tight or flake. For more information about side effects for your particular treatments, please book a consultation with Dr Vasudevan.
